Senior Coalition of Solano County Meeting
The Senior Coalition of Solano County is an advisory body to the County Board of Supervisors on issues related to seniors in the county. Members and contributors to the Senior Coalition meet monthly to advocate for and support efforts that improve and enrich the lives of seniors living and working in Solano County. Our current efforts include: 1) sponsoring training and events (e.g., Financial Survival Skills on April 8th), 2) hosting the Centenarain Commemoration with the County Board of Supervisors in September of each year, 3) launching Fall Prevention Planning which will include conducting a gap analysis, and 4) giving presentations on the Solano County Status Report on Seniors 2008 (a comprehensive report on the health and well-being of seniors in Solano County). Seniors, professionals working with seniors, and community members interested in senior issues are invited to join this active and engaged group of people.
