MacHomer
Conceived as a Macbeth cast party sketch in 1994, Rick Miller’s MacHomer has since evolved into a worldwide smash hit. In its various incarnations, this virtuosic solo performance has been seen by over half a million people on four continents, and continues to draw sell-out crowds and rave reviews. This one-man vocal spectacular features impressions of over 50 voices from TV’s “The Simpsons” in a hilarious performance of Shakespeare’s “Macbeth!” With a script that remains 85% Shakespeare, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that MacHomer will leave you “exhausted with laughter.” Spot-on impressions of characters from the hit television series populate this imaginatively staged version of the Bard’s tragedy; a multi-media update truly “full of sound and fury.” The result is that rare jewel: an educational and entertaining show, which has amazed audiences of all ages, backgrounds and languages.
